Diane Hatz is a social entrepreneur working to create a more healthful, sustainable, equitable world, with a strong focus on food and farming.
As CEO & founder of Boma Grow USA and Whole Healthy Group LLC, Diane consults and develops creative projects to motivate people to take action to create a better world, whether through more healthful eating, becoming more socially aware, or through taking actions that create positive change. She helps individuals, companies and organizations strategize, raise awareness and educate others through planning and hosting events as well as developing and implementing various marketing campaigns. She spent over a year working as an Impact Producer for Participant, the company that created Food, Inc.
As founder & executive director of the nonprofit Change Food, Hatz aggregates the best of the best already working toward healthy food change, amplifies their voices through events and programs, and advances the work and the goal of the food movement – to provide healthy, safe, delicious, fair food. Her latest project is “Plant Eat Share”, promoting efforts around the world to grow and provide food for free and working to change the public mindset around food.

She helps individuals, companies and organizations strategize, raise awareness and educate others through planning and hosting events as well as developing and implementing various marketing campaigns. She spent over a year as Impact Producer for the Food, Inc. film company Participant.
Diane was also the founder and organizer of TEDxManhattan “Changing the Way We Eat” from 2010 – 2015. TEDxManhattan was an annual event that brought together key experts in the food and farming movement to discuss issues with the U.S. food system and has been credited with strengthening the food movement.
Diane also worked at GRACE (now the GRACE Communications Foundation) for 12 years, where she helped build the organization by founding and directing the hugely successful consumer education program Sustainable Table; being executive producer and marketing director of The Meatrix movies, critically acclaimed, award-winning animated films on factory farming; and through founding and directing the online sustainable food directory the Eat Well Guide.
Diane has an MA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Delaware, and a Minor in Philosophy. Her claim to fame is having her fanzine of 12 years, The Relay, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. In her spare time, she fosters rescue dogs.
